About Good Spots

Good Spots started as a list for ourselves. We kept going back to the same few restaurants in The Hague and wanted more places like them: independent, good food, a room you want to stay in.

What we found were lists full of chains, or restaurants that had closed years ago. So we made our own. For The Hague, Rotterdam and the towns around them.

What goes in: shared dining, brasseries that are open all day, wine bars where you actually eat, Italians that are always busy. Mains usually between € 18 and € 35. What stays out: chains, and starred restaurants that only do a ten-course menu.

Every month we go through the whole list. The website, the menu, recent reviews, local news. If a place has closed or changed concept, it comes off.

Restaurants don't pay to be here. They do get a window sticker for the 2026/27 Selection, and if they like, we show them how many people clicked their booking button from Good Spots.
